ANNELISA POPE

Position: Community Liaison. Communications

Nominator :Sally Nikolic

Seconder: Gary Walker

My name is Annelisa (Annie) and I am a Bardon Mum and local of 25 years. I have an extensive media and advertising sales background. I am a current volunteer/committee member managing social media, food trucks, live entertainment, special events, sponsorship, and general communications. Having been a long standing patron of the club and knowing the area I have a great understanding of the target market of the club. I volunteer as a committee member because I believe a strong sense of community and belonging is important to all. The committee with good local representation will continue to engage ensuring this vital community club of more than 75 years continues to thrive well into the future.

BRUCE HILL

Position: Vice President

 Nominator: Gary Walker

Seconder: Gemma Sheridan

I have been a member of the committee since 2019. For the past 12 months I have occupied the position of Vice President. In my role as Grants procurer, I have succeeded in obtaining much needed funding for the club.

As the Treasurer of the Club appointed in 2015, I introduced accounting systems and controls that helped to take us from $120,000 in debt to back in the black. I want to continue to help guide the Club to a position of strength through strategic planning in consultation with the Bardon community.

GARY WALKER

Position: President

Nominator: Bruce Hill

Seconder: Gemma Sheridan

I have been the club president for the last two terms, both of which have presented significant challenges. The Club needed realigning in many areas after the previous committee, then we had the Covid 19 period and in February of this year we had major damage caused by the flood. I am committed to restring the club to a position of strength, inclusiveness and prosperity during my next term in office.

My son William is part of a casual pool of bar staff to support during busy periods.

GEMMA SHERIDAN

Position: Greens Director

Nominator: Gary Walker

Seconder: Bruce Hill

I have a number of years of experience working in hospitality in the UK across bars, nightclubs and restaurants. I joined the committee in2021 and have been involved in the rebuild after the devastating floods in February. I would like to continue in my role on the Board. I am also a regular visitor to the bowls club and I have a good understanding of the demographic need of the community.

Grant Halyday

Position: Treasurer

Nominator: Gary Walker

Seconder: Sally Nikolic

I am the principal accountant at A2 accounting firm. I have worked for two of the world’s largest accounting companies (big four) and was also a solicitor for a leading national law firm with a focus on property transactions and development. As a local, my family and I enjoy all the Bowls Club has to offer.  I am new to the team and look forward to engaging with the local community to make the club an ongoing success.

SALLY NIKOLIC

Position: Secretary

Nominator: Gary Walker

Seconder: Gemma Sheridan

I have been the Secretary since October last year. Previously I was a general member of the committee. I am passionate about the Club and its current renewal phase. I have a diverse background in project management, photography, hospitality, and administrative duties. I run my own business which allows me to be available at times others may not be. This is an interesting role with a great group of people guiding the future of our club.  I am keen to continue in the role for another term.

My daughter has joined the staff as part of a casual pool of the bar and cafe staff to support the club during busy periods.
