This side of town has always been where you come to find the really good stuff! Sacha Drake, Maiocchi, Tengdahl, Carla Zampatti, Lisa Ho and so many more Aussie labels.

This is an absolute playground for finding International designer pieces and we cannot wait to see what treasures get uncovered.

Grand Final fever is back at the bowlo! After an epic AFL turnout, join us for Newcastle Knights vs Sydney Roosters on the big screen. From the farmyard to the sands of the arena, animals were everywhere in ancient Rome. While many of these animals were used for human profit or food, others were kept as pets, status symbols, or even to divine the will of the gods. Animals were also a favoured theme in ancient art.

In this talk, Dr Kit Morrell will explore the rich evidence for animals in the Roman world and the range of attitudes towards animals in Roman society.

Among other topics, Kit will discuss the practice of consulting sacred chickens before battle, the Roman fixation with ‘exotic beasts’, and evidence that ancient pets—feathered, furred, and finned—could be as beloved as modern ‘fur babies’.

Kit Morrell is a Roman historian. She completed her PhD at the University of Sydney and is currently the Susan Blake Lecturer in Classics and Ancient History at the University of Queensland. Her research and teaching focus on Rome during the late republic and early empire.

CELEBRATING THE SEEKERS - 60 Years is an audio-visual treat, with rare footage and still photos of the group.

Keith Potger’s solo tribute to the group he helped to form back in 1962 covers the songs, the stories and the influences that shaped The Seekers in their rise to international fame.

This special program contains some timeless favourites from The Seekers, some beautiful original ballads from his three solo CDs and a few hits from the ‘60s to the ‘80s.
