Walk from Bardon Community Kindy at 10.30am with pipe band or arrive at the club by 10.45am for the 11am service. Bancroft Roasters coffee open until 11.30am. Club open from 11am. Roly Sussex is an Australian linguist.

He is the Emeritus Professor of Applied Language Studies at the School of Languages and Comparative Cultural Studies of the University of Queensland in Brisbane.

Sussex hosts a talk-back program on language and linguistics on ABC Radio in Queensland, Tasmania, South Australia and the Northern Territory and writes a weekly column, "word limit", for The Courier-Mail. Sussex will appear at the Bardon Bowls Club for one night only to discuss how vulnerable is our digital world. Secure your tickets today.

This notice is to advise you of the upcoming annual general meeting of the members of Bardon Bowls Club.  

At the meeting, members will be asked to vote to: 

· Adopt an amendment to the rules of Rules of Association. 21.6 emeritus Membership. 

(6) The Board has the option of appointing emeritus members of the Board Emeritusmembers are not required to attend meetings of the Board unless invited at whichpoint are granted all the voting rights accorded to a member of the Board. Emeritusboard members are typically individuals who have dedicated a significant portion oftheir lives to the organization. They have a deep understanding of the organization'shistory, values, and goals, and they are committed to ensuring its continued success.They are often viewed as mentors and role. models for other board members and staff.
